#2 CORRUPTION
Through investigative stories and personal accounts, “Corruption” explores the human and societal costs of nepotism, patronage and shortcuts, while examining how systemic corruption distorts opportunity, accountability and civic life. Going beyond headlines, this issue of Kosovo 2.0 examines the networks, pressures and historical context that sustain corruption, exploring how this systemic issue erodes citizens' trust in the state and diminishes their sense of connection and engagement.
While corruption in all its forms is a worldwide phenomenon, what has seemingly become particular for Kosovo is a promotion of the idea that nothing can be achieved without having or knowing which strings to pull, or, as it’s said in Albanian, a ki lidhje?
