Karolína Augustová has a Ph.D in Sociology and International Relations from the Aston University (UK) and currently works as a Mercator-IPC Fellow at the Sabanci University (Turkey). Karolína’s research focuses on migration, border violence, smuggling and the European Union’s externalization politics. Her work and research has been based in Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Eastern Turkey and Lebanon.
