COVID-19: Is it over?

Let’s get back to basics.

A virus has transformed our lives across the globe. 

In Kosovo, we’ve been living almost exclusively inside since the first COVID-19 cases were confirmed by Prime Minister Albin Kurti on March 13. With much of the usual economic and social activities paralized due to lockdown measures undertaken to help stop the spread of the virus among the population, can we now say now that the pandemic is almost over?

In this video, we look at how the new coronavirus has taken form in Kosovo, the effects of the lockdown measures on the spread of the virus, and the capacity of the health care system to deal with a potential second wave of infections — a real risk now that the government has announced its de-escalation phases, in an attempt to return to some kind of normality. 

But while societies everywhere are eager to get back to business, can we really do so?
