In a country still debating same-sex unions, an imaginary couple decides not to wait.
During Pride Week in early June, they went to City Hall asking to be married.
“By law, I can only marry a man and a woman.”
They had understood, of course, that they were living in a conservative society and expected some level of homophobia. What they had not anticipated was its deep-seatedness.
