In the classroom, beyond the curriculum
Visar Kukaqi sees early childhood education as a space to dismantle prejudices.
Prejudice often came through small comments and words, in the assumptions teachers and students had about who would and wouldn’t know answers.

He was quiet, often more comfortable staying home than engaging in groups. He knew what it meant to be in class without feeling fully free.

“I see education as a form of activism because within the classroom, students learn about social injustices,” said Kukaqi. Photo: Ferdi Limani / K2.0
