Kosovo must rethink its faith in the West
The Specialist Chambers’ verdicts have revived questions about Western pressure, domestic responsibility and Kosovo’s relationship with its allies.
The court was obviously designed to demonstrate to Belgrade that the West was now its friend and willing to work in its interests at Kosovo’s expense.
Rather than protest outside EULEX or the government buildings, the anger should be directed towards Western embassies, especially those of “the Quint.”
