Qena: I don’t know whether I am more of an activist or an artist
Hana Qena talks about “Gideon’s Knot,” Haveit and political art.
Gideon can never be reduced to a single, clear role that would make the tragedy easier to confront.
For Qena, this play also marks her return to theatre after a decade.

In the play, the teacher knows more about the boy than the mother does; she knows a side of him the mother never reached.
The play does not blame either the parent or the teacher. The fault is larger than that, it is structural.
