The documentary follows the life of Njomzë, a young woman from Gjilan, as she navigates life in her 20s as a queer woman. The film explores her journey of self-discovery and her efforts to challenge gender stereotypes in today’s society amid her work, hobbies, passion for music and small jewelry-making business.
Njomzë’s journey highlights the strength and determination essential for women to live authentically in today’s world. It emphasizes the vital importance of fighting against patriarchy, homophobia, and all other manifestations of discrimination.
Following the screening, we will have a Q&A session featuring Aulonë Kadriu, journalist and senior editor at K2.0, the documentary’s protagonist, Njomzë Arifi, and Ilir Hasanaj, director of the documentary.
