The red village where breathing becomes difficult

Air pollution plagues the residents of Radinac village in Serbia.

Every time it rains in Radinac, Serbia, the inhabitants of the village make sure not to leave the house at all. The steel dust that is produced there gives the rain a red hue that stains everything, irritates the residents’ throats and causes breathing difficulties. In spite of protests and media reports, the issue of air pollution in Radinac and in the municipality of Smederevo has not been solved yet.
