
To us queers, Bubble Pub is more than a bar
New queer spaces bring hope, but the fear of discrimination still lingers.
The nearest cities with dedicated queer bars are Belgrade and Thessaloniki, each at least a four-hour drive away. Tirana and Skopje have none, making their presence here a profound victory.

Conservatives portray LGBTQ+ people as immoral or foreign imports, and do more than misrepresent; they intensify public hostility and create an environment in which deviation from traditional norms is treated as moral failure.
