
Visibility still isn't freedom
Nearly a decade after the first Pride Parade, queer people are more visible than ever, yet they remain unprotected.
Queer life already exists in Kosovo. The state must decide whether to continue leaving that life legally exposed and socially unprotected.
Equality means little if it disappears as soon as it becomes politically costly.
A march through Prishtina does not prove that queer freedom has been achieved.
The freedom LGBTIQ+ people demand is often misrepresented as a request for special treatment. In fact, it means equal access to everyday life.
But walking is still not the same as being free.
