Call for Pitches

By - 28.10.2025

Too often, our public conversation is dominated by what’s broken — the problems, the failures, the disappointments. Yet across Kosovo, there are dozens of inspiring community initiatives responding to local challenges and driving change. From reclaiming polluted spaces and reviving cultural life in neglected towns to organizing youth activities, protecting public goods, and standing up against discrimination — these efforts show the power of communities in action.

We want to tell those stories.

We’re looking for pitches from journalists who want to capture moments of resilience, solidarity, and creativity. While ideas from Prishtina are welcome, we are especially keen on stories from outside the capital — places less frequently covered, where community action often takes on unique forms and confronts distinct challenges.

These stories aren’t about ignoring the problems. They’re about showing the people and ideas that light the way forward.

We’ll be commissioning five in-depth stories, and each should bring readers closer to the people behind these initiatives, explore the challenges they face, and highlight the impact they are making.

How to Pitch

Send us your idea (up to 400 words) telling us:

  • The initiative you want to cover.

  • The challenge it responds to.

  • Why it matters and what makes it inspiring.

  • How you’ll approach the story.

Selected journalists will receive editorial support from the K2.0 team and financial compensation for their work.

Deadline for pitches: 15 November 2025

Proposals, including a CV, must be submitted to: [email protected]
