Sofija Mandić was born in Novi Sad in 1986. She is a law graduate, a dispute resolution mediator and a human rights defender. She currently works at the Judicial Research Center (CEPRIS), having previously been involved with the Belgrade Center for Security Policy and the National Democratic Institute. She is the secretary general of Peščanik and has contributed to its production since 2007, at first on its radio shows, later as an author. She is the author, co-author and editor of numerous studies on the rule of law and the human rights situation and prospects in Serbia.
